WEBER Prüftechnik GmbH, part of infraTest Prüftechnik GmbH since May 2025, announces the integration of Bluetooth® technology into its Light Weight Deflectometer, the LWD WEBERconnect BLE.

This development follows WEBER Prüftechnik’s membership in the Bluetooth® Special Interest Group (Bluetooth® SIG) since July 2025. Membership allows the company to commercially use Bluetooth® technology and the Bluetooth® trademarks, which are globally recognized as a reference for the compatibility and interoperability of Bluetooth®-enabled devices.

Developed and manufactured by WEBER Prüftechnik, the LWD WEBERconnect BLE features integrated Bluetooth® connectivity, enabling wireless communication with the dedicated WEBERconnect mobile application. The device is officially qualified by the Bluetooth® SIG and listed on its official website.

The WEBERconnect app allows users to control the LWD WEBERconnect BLE via Bluetooth®. It also enables automatic analysis of measurement data and processing or export in various formats, including CSV, PDF, raw data and print templates. The multilingual user interface supports international use of the application.

The LWD WEBERconnect BLE with Bluetooth® is available worldwide.

Since May 1, 2025, WEBER Prüftechnik has been part of infraTest Prüftechnik GmbH. With this acquisition, infraTest expands its portfolio in the field of soil testing and strengthens its position as a provider of comprehensive testing solutions for the construction materials industry.

WEBER Prüftechnik brings extensive experience in soil testing, particularly in the field of the dynamic plate load test, to the infraTest Group. The WEBER brand will be retained and further developed within infraTest Prüftechnik GmbH. The site in Tangermünde will also remain in place.

WEBER Prüftechnik develops and manufactures the LWD WEBERconnect BLE, a Light Weight Deflectometer for soil testing. The system combines conventional measurement technology with modern digital data processing. Thanks to its integrated Bluetooth® technology, the device can communicate wirelessly with the WEBERconnect BLE mobile application. The app allows users to control the LWD and automatically analyze and process measurement data in various formats, including PDF, CSV, raw data and print templates. Its multilingual interface supports international use.

With the acquisition of WEBER, infraTest is expanding its existing portfolio in the field of soil testing. Combined with infraTest’s existing solutions for asphalt, concrete and other construction materials, the acquisition enables the company to offer a broader range of solutions to customers in the construction and construction materials industries.

The acquisition of WEBER Prüftechnik therefore represents another step in the development of infraTest’s portfolio and the strengthening of its international presence. WEBER Prüftechnik is now a brand of infraTest Prüftechnik GmbH.
